Exterior work will include the removal and installation of new asphalt shingles, felt paper, drip edge and accessories, vinyl siding replacement, and select exterior window trim painting of all units. FCHA Contract No.: 2022-01 General Construction EADS Project No: 0341-22-614 Bids will be received for General Construction. All checks shall be made payable to EADS Architects, Inc. Bidders must purchase the Contract Documents and Plans from EADS Architects, Inc. to be eligible to bid this project. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashiers check payable to the Fayette County Housing Authority in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The Fayette County Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening without the consent of the Authority. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or age. In addition, the Contract will be under the requirements of Executive Order #11625 relative to new goals and timetables and Section III of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and where applicable. The Fayette County Housing Authority solicits and encourages Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation. MBEs will be afforded full consideration of their responses and will not be subjected to discrimination. Bidders will be required to comply with the Authoritys MBE Program Goal requirements where applicable.
