As of December 8, 2025, an engineer has been selected. The project is currently on indefinite hold, and design work has not yet begun. The project is included in the County's FY 2026-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and funding is allotted for construction in FY 2030 and FY 2031. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. Design and construction of the Dunedin Causeway Bascule Bridge and Tide Relief Bridge, and associated roadway design for Causeway Boulevard Revisions from Previous Year: Design has been moved from FY25 to FY26. Construction estimate has not changed. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
