The project consists of demolishing a vacant house and shed, importing fill and restoring the site. The Engineer's estimated range for this project is $100,000 to $150,000. Each bid shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents now on file in the office of Parks Planning and Development, City of Kent, Washington Apprentice Utilization Requirements are mandatory for all public works estimated to cost one million dollars or more, in which case no less than 15% of the labor hours must be performed by apprentices. KCC 6.01.030. A cashier's check, cash or surety bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must be included with the bid. No plea of mistake in the bid shall be available to the bidder for the recovery of his/her deposit or as a defense to any action based upon the neglect or refusal to execute a contract. Bidders must submit with their initial bid a signed statement as to whether they have previously performed work subject to the President's Executive Order No. 11246. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the day of bid opening. The City of Kent reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all schedules or alternates or to waive any informalities in the bidding and shall determine which bid or bidders is the most responsive, satisfactory and responsible bidder and shall be the sole judge thereof. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
