Site work for a water / sewer project in Poulsbo, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Hoffman Construction Company, General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) for CKTP Solids and Liquids Hauled Waste Upgrades GC/CM Services project ("Project") being performed for Kitsap County ("Owner") requests qualifications for Bid Package: #1 EC/CM RFQ. Any questions regarding the RFQ should be directed to John Hamilton via email John-Hamilton@hoffmancorp.com A. The Work is located in the City of Poulsbo, WA, at the Central Kitsap Treatment Plant (CKTP). The work is primarily within the property boundary of the treatment plant, but includes some work extending into the roadway along the northeast side of CKTP (Brownsville Highway NE): 1. CKTP:12531 Brownsville Hwy NE, Poulsbo, WA 98370. B. The Project includes constructing the Work broadly described below, in accordance with the Contract Documents, with all related appurtenances. Work shown on the Drawings, or indicated in the Specifications, or indicated elsewhere in the Contract Documents is part of the Work, regardless of whether indicated below. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Anerobic Digestion Improvements: a. Demolition of Digester 1 and Digester 2, including all associated structural, mechanical and electrical components. b. Construction of a new Digester 1 (Area 610), new Digester 2 (Area 620), and a new Digester 1 and 2 Process Building (Area 615). c. Construction of a new Digester 3 (Area 630), new Digester 4 (Area 640), and a new Digester 3 and 4 Process Building (Area 635). d. Construction of a new Digester Control Building (Area 680) with boilers, electrical room and office. 2. Solids Thickening Improvements: a. Addition of a second Rotary Drum Thickener (RDT) to the existing WAS Thickening Building (Area 400) b. Construction of a new Primary Sludge and Septage (PSS) Thickening Building (Area 550) with associated mechanical equipment, RDTs, polymer system, and electrical room. 3. Septage Storage and Handling Improvements: a. Demolition of existing septage handling system. b. Construction of new septage offloading, treatment, equalization and pumping facilities (Area 510), including: 1) Septage Receiving Rock Traps (2) 2) Septage screening and grit treatment equipment. 3) Septage Equalization (EQ) Tanks 1 and 2. 4) Septage EQ Wet Well and pumps. 5) Septage Valve Vault. 4. Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) Handling Improvements: a. Construction of new FOG Building (Area 520), including: 1) FOG Receiving Room with FOG screening equipment, wet well and pumps. 2) Utility Room. 3) Electrical Room. 5. Centrate Storage and Handling Improvements: a. Demolition of existing Septage Degritting Building, Gravity Thickener (east), Gravity Thickener biofilter, and all associated piping, mechanical, structural, and electrical features. b. Partial demolition and rehabilitation of Gravity Thickener (west), including new cover and equipment, and repurposing the tank as a new Centrate Storage Tank (CST) (Area 750). c. Addition of new CST Valve Vault (Area 750). 6. In-Plant Pump Station Improvements: a. Demolition of existing IPS. b. Construction of new IPS with associated Wet Well and pumps, Valve Vault, and Flow Meter Vault (Area 180). 7. Odor Control Improvements: a. Three new odor control biofilters, including foul air fans and all associated appurtenances, serving the following locations: 1) CST Odor Control System (Area 790). 2) PSS Thickening Building Odor Control System (Area 550). 3) Septage/FOG Odor Control System (Area 530). 8. Sludge Processing Building Improvements (Area 700): a. Demolition of existing sewage handling pumps. b. Relocation and rehabilitation of existing centrate pumps. c. Construction of new centrifuge feed piping from digesters. 9. Biogas Cogeneration Improvements (Area 900): a. Modifications to existing waste gas burner (Area 910). b. Rehabilitation of existing cogeneration engine (Area 930) and treatment system (Area 920). c. Construction of new gas storage membrane and associated support equipment (Area 960). 10. Maintenance Building Improvements: a. Demolition of existing maintenance building. b. Construction of new maintenance building and associated support systems. 11. Miscellaneous Site Civil Improvements: a. Demolition of existing site features, roadways, and utilities. b. Demolition of buried diesel storage tank. c. Construction of stormwater conveyance systems. d. Construction of new utilities, process piping, natural gas piping and miscellaneous piping. e. Construction of new grading, site topography, and associated site features and accessories. C. Contracting Method: The Project will be constructed under a single prime construction Contract. D. Hazardous Environmental Conditions: 1. To the best of Owner's knowledge, information, and belief, the prior use of the Site included a wastewater treatment plant and, at the location of the new maintenance building, the site was used for equipment storage. Existing buildings at the Site were constructed in between 1977 and 2019 Deadline for questions on RFQ 09.05.24 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
