Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Harrisonville, Missouri. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
As of February 6, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Project consists of a qualified Contractor providing engineering design and construction services for one (1) 30' by 40' steel frame building located at 1404 Clearwater Drive in Harrisonville, Missouri. The building shall be gabled with a minimum pitched 2:12 roof and a minimum 16' eave height side walls. All design and construction shall be in accordance with the latest International Building Code, 2018 Edition and the City of Harrisonville's Chapter 500 Building and Property Maintenance Codes. For information contact: Carl Brooks, PE, CFM, Director of Public Works Telephone: (816) 380-8913 Email: cbrooks@harrisonville.com Notice to award: December 31, 2022 Building Slab and Foundation: The building shall have a minimum 6" thick reinforced concrete slab and footings, consisting of a Kansas City Metropolitan Board (KCMMB) 4,000 psi concrete mix with granite aggregate designed by a structural engineer to meet site conditions and use. Piers and pilasters shall be designed and constructed in accordance with the building manufacturer and the structural engineer. The reinforced concrete slab shall have a stem wall on all sides with the height to vary, and the slab shall be placed on a minimum 6" thick coarse aggregate base with a minimum 10 mil vapor barrier. Work to include expansion joints in accordance with the engineer's recommendations. Finishing will include curing compounds and a trowel finish. Prior to construction, the engineer shall submit plans, specifications, and calculations for review and permit approval. Pre-Engineered Building: The structure shall include all primary and secondary steel frames, columns, wall girts, roof purlins, gutter & downspouts including all necessary lintels, angles, and weld plates. The exterior wall shall be a minimum 26-gauge panels painted with the colors to be selected by the City and the roof shall be a minimum 24-gauge painted standing seam with a 20-year warranty. Three inches of insulation or equivalent shall be installed on the roof, walls, and doors. Two framed openings, one garage door on each end with 16' Wide x 14' High metal overhead garage doors with one (1) walk-in steel access door 3' Wide x 7' High, access with two (2)-reinforced concrete approach slabs shall be included in the proposal. The proposal shall include all materials, labor including engineering, equipment, bonds, insurances, permits, overhead and profit required for the complete installation.
