Renovation of a municipal facility in Harrisonville, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The County reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit a bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. 1. All Bids shall remain open for sixty (60) days after the day of the Bid Opening. The Contractor shall complete the project within 60 days from the date that the Notice to Proceed is issued. 2. The County: i) reserves the right to reject any or all proposals/bids; ii) may waive any irregularity in proposals if in the County's best interests; iii) shall award the bid based upon its determination of the lowest and best bidder. 3. Unauthorized Alien Affidavit. Bidders are also informed that pursuant to Section 285.530, RSMo, each bidder shall, by sworn affidavit and provisions of documentation, affirm its enrollment and participation in a federal work authorization program with respect to the employees working in connection to the contracted services. Each bidder shall also sign an affidavit affirming that it does not knowingly employ any person who is an unauthorized alien in connection to the work on the projects. 4. Safety Standards and Accident Prevention. With respect to all work performed under this contract, the Contractor shall: a. Comply with the safety standards provisions of applicable laws, building and construction codes, and the "Manual of Accident Prevention in Construction" published by the Associated General Contractors of America, the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, and the requirements of Section 292.675, RSMo b. Exercise every precaution at all times for the prevention of accidents and the protection of persons (including employees) and property. c. Maintain at Contractor's office or other well known place at the job site, all articles necessary for giving first aid to the injured, and shall make arrangements for the immediate removal to a hospital or a doctor's care of persons (including employees), who may be injured on the job site. d. Bidders are informed that the Project is subject to the requirements of Section 292.675, RSMo, which requires all contractors or subcontractors doing work on the Project to provide, and require its on-site employees to complete, a ten (10) hour course in construction safety and health approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration ("OSHA") or a similar program approved by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations which is at least as stringent as an approved OSHA program. The training must be completed within sixty (60) days of the date of work on the Project commences. On-site employees found on the worksite without documentation of the required training shall have twenty (20) days to produce such documentation. 5. Insurance. The successful Contractor shall not commence operations, and/or labor to complete this project, until certificates of insurance are provided with the coverage described below. Commercial General Liability Insurance: Bodily Injury or Death/Property Damage: $1,000,000 occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate. Comprehensive Automobile and Truck Liability (Owner--Leased--Non-Owned & Hired) - Bodily Injury or Death / Property Damage- $ 1,000,000.00 - Combined Single Limit (each accident). Workmen's Compensation Insurance - State (Statutory) & Employer's Liability ($1,000,000.00). Cass County shall be named as an additional insured. 6. Contract Execution. The bidder to whom the Contract is awarded shall, within five (5) business days after the notice of award, enter into a written contract with the County. Failure to execute a contract will be considered abandonment of the award, the County shall have no further obligation to that bidder, and the County may retain the bid bond. 7. Payment Bond. If the Project cost exceeds $50,000 then a payment bond is required. 8. Prevailing Wage. If the Project cost exceeds $75,000 then compliance with prevailing wage laws is required. 1. Tear off existing roof membrane down to the existing coverboard and properly dispose of. 2. Inspect existing insulation & coverboard replacing any damaged or wet. 3. Install new perimeter wood blocking as required for proper terminations & metal installation. 4. Install 4 new roof drains on the lower office roof section. 5. Install new 60 Mill TPO membrane mechanically attached to the building structural purlins. 6. Flash all perimeters & penetrations per manufacturer's requirements. 7. Install new prefinished coping cap & edge metal over top edge of existing metal panel fascia. 8. Install new prefinished hood above the 2 signs attached to the metal panel fascia. 9. Install new prefinished 6" OG gutters & downspouts. 10. Provide 20 Manufacturer's warranty. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and insurance necessary to complete the work described in the Scope of Project.
