**As of March 2, 2023, this project has been awarded to Stark Excavating in the amount of $346,585.64. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, bank cashier's check, or properly certified check in the amount of $12,500 and Section 2.53. A Contract Bond in the total amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Project Description: Reconstruct storm sewer and water service pipes. Install site underdrains, area drains and permeable paver sidewalk. Regrade playground site. Install access sidewalk, perimeter concrete playground curb and base for playground surfaces. Cold mill and overlay the hot-mix asphalt play area pavement. The Contractor shall be required to provide certificates of insurance as indicated in the documents. The Contractor will be required to comply with all Federal, State and Municipal laws and regulations, including those related to discrimination, prevailing wage, safety, bidrigging, human rights, preferential employment of Illinois labor and equal opportunity employment. The Champaign Community Unit School District #4 reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any formalities or inconsistencies in the bids, to reduce the scope of work to accommodate the project budget, to accept any proposals which it deems most favorable, or to continue the letting from time to time as deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Bids may be held by the Champaign Community Unit School District #4 for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this project.
