The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) has issued this Invitation to Bid (ITB) with the sole purpose and intent of obtaining sealed bids (Bid) from qualified contractors (Contractor) to rename required taxiways at Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) to comply with FAA standards and replace deteriorated signage throughout the airfield (Project). The Work is required to be completed no later than one hundred fifty (150) calendar days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed It is the intent of the RTAA to select a qualified Contractor licensed to work in the State of Nevada to perform work on the Airfield Signage Replacement & Taxiway Renaming project and to provide all material, labor, tools, expendable equipment, transportation services, permits and fees, utilities required, and all incidental items necessary to provide the scope of work entitled "Airfield Signage Replacement & Taxiway Renaming" per the drawings, plans, and specifications provided herein as Volume II - Technical Specifications, subject to all terms and conditions contained in this ITB. The existing taxiway naming convention at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) does not comply with FAA standard. Additionally, various signs throughout the airfield are showing signs of deterioration due to extended use and service life constraints. Renaming the taxiways to comply with the current FAA standard and replacing deteriorated signs throughout the airfield is required at this time. Funding for this Project has not yet been approved. The funding source (93.75%) is a federal grant with the remainder (6.25%) to be funded by the RTAA. The Engineer's Estimate for the project including the Base Bid and all Alternates is $4,100,000.00 to $4,300,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Written Questions Due to RTAA March 12, 2024 Oral questions will receive oral responses, neither of which will be considered official nor become part of the ITB. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Bid amount is required for this Project. The security may only be in a cashier's or certified check made payable to the RTAA, or a Bid Bond The Performance Bond shall be in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract price The Payment Bond shall be in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract price.
