Qualified engineering firms shall possess knowledge and expertise in the fields of engineering, design and environmental review services in accordance with Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) standards, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) standards and be licensed to practice Professional Engineering in the State of Wisconsin. The WisDOT Surface Transportation Program (STP) is funding 80% of this project while the city is funding 20%. Design and construction must comply with all applicable WisDOT & FHWA requirements, including conformance with ADA Accessibility guidelines. Project Description: The project would be a full pavement resurfacing for the following: Cary Street, Industrial Park Road, 3rd Street W, and Beaser Avenue. The selected consultant will be provided with detailed maps identifying specific segments that will receive the proposed improvements. The Engineering Consultant will complete environmental review per WisDOT & FHWA requirements, complete necessary surveys and prepare design/bid documents to support letting of a complete bid package in late 2023, including preparation and filing of necessary permits from the WDNR and other applicable regulatory agencies. The City has scheduled the construction work for 2024, so prompt work on the design scope is needed to meet this schedule. There may be requests for additional engineering related services, including bidding administration, construction inspection, studies and other services related to the project.
