Saving Project...

Demolition, site work and new construction of a civil project in Ankeny, Iowa. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

This project will replace the existing bridge with a reinforced concrete box (RCB) culvert. The existing bridge is a single span 16 arch bridge constructed of concrete and timber. The bridge is located south of East 1st Street on SE Frisk Drive, spanning a tributary stream to Four Mile Creek. This project includes engineering design, construction engineering services and construction in 2024. This project is in included in the City of Ankeny FY 2023 - 2027 CIP. As of December 22, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
