SW State Street - SW Oralabor Road to SW Prairie Trail Parkway Est. Completion Date: Nov. 3, 2023 The SW State Street Fiber Optic Relocation includes fiber optic cable and conduit modifications, and installation of traffic signal components at the intersection of SW State Street and SW Oralabor Road. The project includes installing approximately 22,500 LF of single-mode fiber optic cable and 6,700 LF of conduit, with approximately 310 fiber optic cable splices/ terminations and 5 splice enclosures/ cases. Other associated improvements include installation of traffic signal cabinet with riser and foundation, power service and handholes, temporary traffic control, mobilization, site restoration and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project. The City will furnish approximately 5,000 LF of 24-count and 12,500 LF of 96-count single-mode fiber optic cable for Contractor installation in City-owned conduit. The Contractor will furnish approximately 3,000 LF of 48-count and 2,100 LF of 96-count single-mode fiber optic cable for installation in Ankeny Community School District (School)-owned conduit. The City will furnish the low-voltage ATC traffic signal cabinet, ATC controller, conflict monitor, uninterruptible power supply, and riser for Contractor installation.
