Sealed bids are invited from multiple prime contractors for General Construction, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical work at the John Street Apartments for the following work, but not limited to: The renovation of 32 bath rooms The replacement of 32 gas fired apartment furnaces however firms planning to bid this project must notify DeScipio & Associates, Inc. joe@descipi o.com such that the bidder can be provided copies of any addenda issued during the bid period. Bid Security: A certified check or bank draft, US government Bonds or a Satisfactory Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10 percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid and Drafted in favor of the Carbondale Housing Authority shall be submitted with each bid. Performance Bonds: The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for Performance and Labor and Materials Bonds which are acceptable to the Authority. Wage Requirement; Equal Employment opportunity: Attention is called to the wage and equal employment opportunity requirements of this project, as contained in the Bid Documents. Authority Rights: The Carbondale Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids or to waive any informality with the bid. Proposal Terms: No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the time of opening without the consent of the Authority. Contract Time: One Hundred Eighty (180) calendar days has been established as the construction period. Attention is directed to the liquidated damages clause found in the Bid Documents. Permits: The successful Bidder is required to obtain and pay costs of all applicable licenses, permits and fees and shall submit copies to the Authority.
