Site work and paving for a civil project in Janesville, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
For furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary for the construction of the following approximate quantities: 7,600 LF of 6"-12" replacement water main; 850 LF of 12"-42" replacement storm sewer; replacement of 70 lead water services; two 18" valve replacements, replacement or rehabilitation of 80 sanitary structures, water valve structures, storm structures, and storm inlets; and associated street and nonpaved surface restoration. The determination of the lowest responsible and best bid will be decided by the City Engineer, subject to review by the City Council. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as on file in the City Clerk's Office.
