For General Street Light Repair and Replacement The Town of Nantucket, through its Town Administration, invites qualified bidders to submit bids for General Streetlight Repair and Maintenance. The contactor will be able to provide labor, equipment, materials, permits and required supervision. The work to be performed will be of routine nature and will include, but not limited to electric maintenance, installation, and general repair services for various Town of Nantucket-owned Streetlights. This successful bidder shall perform services as necessary from March 1, 2023, to February 29, 2024. This is intended to be a one (1) year contract with an option to renew for two additional one (1) year terms, not to exceed three (3) years to the Town of Nantucket sole discretion. A license is required to perform electrical work in the state of Massachusetts. Electrical licenses are issued by the Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Electricians. Massachusetts license number and proof will be required. Award date. Award will be made within thirty (30) days after bid opening unless otherwise stated in the specifications or the time for award is extended by mutual consent of all parties. All bids submitted shall be valid for a minimum period of sixty (60) calendar days following the date established for acceptance. Written responses will be emailed to all bidders on record as having requested the IFB The Town of Nantucket reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its best interest. Bidders should be aware that many overnight mailing services do not guarantee service to Nantucket. All major carriers deliver to Nantucket Island (UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc.). It is best to allow for two additional days for delivery to the island. The Contractor shall be responsible to obtain any necessary permits for work directed under this contract. Payments for such will be made on the basis of billed cost to the Contractor. This pay provision relates to permits that are exclusive, and a "one-time use" type permit for work performed under this contract
