As of March 20, 2023, project was awarded to Jeffery Contracting, awarded amount is $779,212.85. Estimated Project Value: $500,001 - $1,000,000 Project generally consists of applying chip seal followed by fog seal to various streets in Anaconda, Montana. The project includes, but is not limited to the following: o190,000 square yards of 318" Type 1 chip seal cover aggregate; o340 tons of CHFRS-2P emulsified asphalt seal coat; o74 each hand application of chip seal and fog seal to curb turn fillets at intersections; o7.68 course miles of final sweep and broom; o28,500 gallons of fog seal; oPavement markings; and oTraffic control. Contractor and any of the Contractor's Subcontractors doing work on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406)-444-7734. Contractors are required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project. All laborers and mechanics employed by Contractor or Subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages in accordance with the Montana Prevailing Wage Rates. There is no Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) or "Buy American" requirement. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to ADLC, in an amount not less than Ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a Certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the receipt of bids noted above. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the Owner. Project generally consists of new chip seal and fog seal surfacing for various streets in Anaconda, Montana. The project includes, but is not limited to the following: 190,000 square yards of 3/8" Type 1 chip seal cover aggregate; 340 tons of CHFRS-2P emulsified asphalt seal coat; 74 each hand application of chip seal and fog seal to curb turn fillets at intersections; 7.68 course miles of final sweep and broom; 28,500 gallons of CSS-1h fog seal (50/50 dilution); Pavement markings; and Traffic control. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents must be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued to plan holders by Addenda posted to www.aeplans.com website. Registered plan holders will be provided e-mail notification of Addenda when posted. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Days to Achieve Substantial Completion and Readiness for Final Payment The work shall be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions before September 15, 2023. DESCRIPTION This work is the furnishing of labor, materials and equipment for installing, maintaining and operating traffic control devices to insure the safety of the general public and project personnel. This includes providing channelization, flaggers, or other measures necessary to allow the safe passage of local vehicles to access residences that are within the work zone but not blocked by construction.
