Renovation of a swimming pool in Covington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
Scope : General. Goebel Park is the second largest park in the City of Covington. It provides many different recreation attractions including but not limited to trails, a playground, a pool, and the historic Goebel Glockenspiel. The pool being one of the main attractions for Goebel and bringing in over 100 visitors a day during the summer is currently in need of repair. B. Objectives. The City of Covington is seeking qualified contractors for services to remove and replace the Goebel Pool house roof. The objectives of the contracted services are to: 1. Tear off existing shingles. 2. Make necessary repair to roof before new roof is put on. 3. Ensure that the roof is finished in a professional manner, so that pool visitors can have a safe and pleasurable experience. 4. Ensure that the highest quality products are being used, so that the roof (with proper maintenance) will be sustainable for the foreseeable future. 5. Perform any necessary follow up treatment or finishing as needed. A follow up treatment will only be required if both the contractor and Parks and Recreation designee determine that it is necessary after a post-work walkthrough. The City of Covington is seeking qualified contractors for services to remove and replace the Goebel Pool house roof.
