As of January 19, 2023, a design firm has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. ---- The City of Covington, Kentucky, is requesting Proposals from professional Engineering Design Firms for the Pointe Benton Drainage Basin Project. Pointe Benton Road has been subjected to flooding and drainage issues due to lack of adequate storm water conveyance system. The scope of the work for this project consists of the design of a storm water collection / conveyance system. Additionally, two (2) detention basins will be needed to mitigate the storm water runoff for the project. These detention basins shall be placed at each end of Pointe Benton Road. The new inlet and pipe shall be placed on Point Benton Road; the new storm system, with catch basins and pipe, shall be placed at the end of Pointe Benton Road. The overall goal of this project is to resolve the flooding issues in the Pointe Benton neighborhoods by installing a storm water collection/ conveyance system and constructing storm water detention basins, new storm pipes, grading work, and basin construction.
