Renovation of a municipal facility in Napa, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

**As of February 22, 2022 , this project has been awarded to RBH Construction, Inc for the amount of $448,944.** The South Napa Shelter Project Phase II HVAC provides needed maintenance and modernization for the Napa County homeless shelter facility, related to the increased occupancy required HVAC work, resulting from the South Napa Shelter TIP, PW 20-16 Project. The South Napa Shelter shall remain operational during construction; coordination for access will be required. The project is located at the following Napa County facility: South Napa Shelter, 100 Hartle Court, Napa in Napa County. Bids are required for the entire work called for by the Plans and Specifications, and neither partial nor contingent bids will be considered. In conformance with Public Contract Code section 20129, bids must be valid for 6 months from the date bids are opened. In accordance with California Public Contract Code section 3400, bidders may propose equals of products listed in the technical specifications or project plans by manufacturer name, brand, or model number, unless the technical specifications or plans specify that the product is necessary to match others in use. Complete information for products proposed as equals must be submitted to the Public Works Office for review at least 10 days before the time specified for bid opening. This submission deadline shall control over the timeline set forth in o Standard Specifications, section 6-1.05. Pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.1, a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Public Contract Code section 4104, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Business and Professions Code section 7029.1 or by Public Contract Code section 10164 or 20103.5, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. No bid will be considered unless it is made on a blank form furnished by the County Engineer of Napa County and is made in accordance with the provisions of the proposal requirements and conditions set forth under Section 2 of the 2018 Standard Specifications of the State California, Department of Transportation, except as modified in the above-referenced Special Provisions. Each bidder must be licensed as required by law. The Contractor and any Sub-Contractors shall be registered with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations (Public Works Contractor (PWC) Registration) at the time of bid opening. The Contractor shall possess a Class "B" or "C-20" license at the time of the Contract award. A bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall accompany the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price with good and sufficient surety. All times listed in these specifications are in Pacific Standard Time. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids. THE SCOPE OF WORK (BASE BID) INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS FOR ACCESSIBILITY COMPLIANCE, ENLARGING EXISTING AND ADDING NEW HINGED ACCESS PANELS TO THE ATTIC SPACE AND THE REPLACEMENT OF INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR HVAC UNITS, INCLUDING NEW MECHANICAL PADS AND CHAIN LINK FENCE AND GATES TO SECURE OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT. The project will be commenced at the following Napa county facility: South Napa Shelter, 100 Hartle Court Napa, CA The work in general consists of, but is not limited to supplying all labor and materials to remodel the HVAC at the facility, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural modifications, as shown on these plans and specifications entitled South Napa Shelter Phase II - HVAC Project, PW 20-16A
