Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Project includes construction of a new sidewalk being tied into the existing sidewalk at the school's driveway, signal improvements, signal re-timing, and other related construction. The bid will be for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services associated with STEM Academy Expansion Project. Bids will have a tentative award date of March 1, 2023. Bids are to be submitted via PennBid on the forms furnished in the bid package. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, certified check, or cashier's check, in favor of Downingtown Area School District, in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, on bond forms provided by Downingtown Area School District. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 2/8/2023 5:00 PM All bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified as either a prime or a sub-contractor to submit a bid and must complete a non-collusion affidavit. This contract is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the Wage Rates determined for the project as stated in the Contract documents. Award of the Contract, if the contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, as determined by Downingtown Area School District. The Downingtown Area School District reserves the right to reject any and or all bids on any basis and to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in the bidding, as permitted by law, and to accept any Bid which it may deem to be for or in the best interest of the Downingtown Area School District in its sole and absolute discretion. No bidder may withdraw a bid after the actual date of the opening thereof.
