Vulcan County Emergency Services utilizes a 3-story fire training center outfitted with Kidde fire trainers T500 LFTS indoor fire trainer. This trainer is a live-fire training system used to conduct training of firefighters and emergency rescue personnel in live-fire situations. The trainer is a system that generates gas-fueled fires under the control of a computer system and an instructor. The trainer simulates Class A,B,C type fires. The fires are generated in fire training burn rooms. Each fireplace can be and will be monitored from either the operator's station via on-screen displays or from a local hand-held control pendant via illuminated switch indicators. Vulcan County is seeking quotes from a qualified company for upgrades to its' Kidde Fire Trainers T-500 LFTS Indoor fire trainer. This project is expected to occur in phases, spanning over two years 2023-2024. The quotes must be for the design and installation of equipment that flawlessly integrates into the KFT system already in place. These upgrades shall consist of the following; New window fire & smoke affect second-floor burn room- New climate-controlled & insulated control room New PC control Human Machine Interface Sound System throughout 3 stories Camera System to include thermal Outdoor props (dumpster & 112 sq ft fuel spill) Fire Training Center Upgrades Design, fabricate, deliver and install a new window fire effect and smoke generation system on the second story of the existing burn building Integration of new fire & smoke effects into existing safety monitoring and fire generation system Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance Training, and handover of new fire effects Design, fabricate and deliver a stand-alone control room Provide an HVAC system for the control room heat and AC Design, delivery, installation, and integration of a new PC controller, residential sound effects, and camera system including thermal Operations & Maintenance training Design, fabricate, deliver and install new portable fire effects (dumpster & fuel spill) at the outdoor training pad Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance Training, and handover of new fire trainers New Control Room Design, fabricate and deliver a stand-alone control room Provide an HVAC system to control room heat and AC Control room will be free-standing with 4 walls, floor, and ceiling The out-to-out dimensions of the control booth shall be no smaller than 6' 10" X 9' What is Required Complete Gas-Fueled Live Fire Training System Supplied and Installed.
