Renovation of a residential development in Framingham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The Framingham Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Intercom Upgrade in Framingham, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by MacRitchie Engineering. The Project consists of: The replacement of the existing apartment unit intercoms at the 667-8 residential buildings. The scope of the project includes but is not limited to: The Removal of existing intercoms and replacement with new. There are a total of two intercom panels at 667-8 development. All electrical work at 667-8 includes providing a new circuit to feed a new junction box in the existing intercom closet for the new intercom system and extending existing wiring/controls from existing door strikes/openers to new intercom panel. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, Electrical, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Framingham Housing Authority. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13.0% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (David.McClave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date - NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE GENERAL BIDS ARE OPENED. See Contract Documents - Article 3 of the Instructions to Bidders. All bidding Requests for Information (RFI's) shall be forwarded to luisaoliva@macritchie.net by 3:00pm EST on 01/27/2023 for general bids.
