Renovation of a municipal facility in Anderson, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Texas Historical Commission (THC) seeks competitive sealed proposals to establish a contract for General Construction in accordance with the specifications contained in this Request for Proposal (RFP). In particular, the services requested herein and to be provided under any contract(s) awarded as a result of this RFP are for the Exterior Preservation at the Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site, 579 S. Main Street, Anderson, Texas 77830. Services shall include, but are not limited to, the requirements contained in this RFP. In accordance with the approved schedule and price, the awarded respondent shall provide and/or secure and install all materials, labor, coordination, management, and supervisory activities necessary to complete construction of the Project in accordance with the Contract Documents: Drawings and Specifications, Addenda, and Contract Modifications. The Texas Historical Commission seeks a general contractor firm that has documented experience with projects of the type, scale and scope described in this RFP. Contractor must have a minimum of 8 years experience in construction similar to the type of work required by these Contract Documents (as judged by THC) to be eligible for contract award. Preference will be given to respondents who have completed similar projects. THC requires all work to comply with all applicable Federal and State laws, codes, and standards. The Fanthorp Inn is a two-story, ell-shaped, wood-framed building constructed in 1834. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, repair and replacement of wood lap siding, repair and replacement of double-hung wood windows, exterior painting, and other associated preservation activities as described in the attached Construction Documents. Replacement of the wood shingle roof is an additive alternate. All work shall comply with the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. This solicitation will include a submittal of company experience and qualifications focusing on projects of similar size and type, and their pricing. Respondents will be evaluated as described in Paragraph 3.11 Scoring Criteria. All inquiries regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to Tomasz Gozdalski at tomasz.gozdalski@thc.texas.gov the date listed as the deadline for submission of questions as specified in Section 3.1 of the RFP document. All written inquiries will result in written responses posted to the ESBD, available electronically. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
