The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to obtain Professional, Architectural/Engineering (A/E) services for the design of renovations for Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Richfield facility. The scope of work for this project includes replacement or renovation of the entire Richfield facility roof due to age of system and anticipated product lifecycle. The roof is original to the initial construction in 2001 and totals approximately 55,400 square feet. Reported to be free from asbestos and other hazardous materials. Existing roof construction consists of rigid roof insulation adhered to metal deck with an EPDM roof membrane ballasted system. Additional scope to include, but not limited to, metal coping system replacement, lightning protection system replacement to meet current standards, and misc. painting. All aspects of the project and related issues will be implemented and operated consistently with Attorney General's Office and Bureau of Criminal Investigations policies and procedures. The Owner or Contracting Authority may require the A/E to conduct background checks of its employees, agents, representatives, and subcontractors that will be on-site during the term of the Project as directed by the Owner or Contracting Authority. The cost of the background checks will be borne by the A/E. The Contracting Authority or Owner may require the A/E to exclude the A/E's employees, agents, representatives, or subcontractors based on the background check results. Upon request of the Owner or Contracting Authority, the A/E will do a background check of its new employees, agents, representatives, and subcontractors that will be on site during the term of the Contract.
