The work for which bids are asked includes the following: 250 LF of town road reconstruction for a stormwater structure replacement including clearing and grubbing, sawcut asphalt, removing asphalt surface, removing existing structure, 49.5 LF of 15'- 4" x 6'-5" aluminum box culvert with headwalls and wingwalls, structure backfill, base aggregate, asphalt pavement, traffic control, medium riprap, geotextile fabric, fence removal and replacement, salvaged topsoil, erosion control, and final restoration. The contractor shall have 25 calendar days for substantial completion, and an additional 5 calendar days for final completion once the contractor starts work. All work must be completed by October 20, 2023 regardless of the start date. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. 1230 South Boulevard, Baraboo, WI 53913The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages.
