The Project includes the following Work: Resurfacing of approximately 1.26 miles of a rural roadway consisting of pulverizing, roadway aggregate preparation for paving, asphalt pavement, base aggregate shoulders, sawcutting, and traffic control. The Project has an expected duration of 25 calendar days from start of construction. End Date 10/25/2024 The Substantial Completion date is 22 calendar days from the start of construction, and the Final Completion date is 3 calendar days from the Substation Completion date. All paving regardless of start date shall be completed by October 25, 2024 Instructions to Bidders. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the wage rate scale established by local wage rates. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to 22 ENGINEER in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by 23 ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered 24 to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Document Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
