Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in Poughkeepsie, New York. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 2,400-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The firehouse was built in 1968 and has not been expanded since. This project calls for an approx. 60'x40' (2400 sq. ft), 1 story expansion to the firehouse apparatus bay. The need for this expansion ties into the Fire Department's apparatus need--modern replacement apparatus are growing in size, and new trucks simply won't fit in the 1968 Clover Street station. The new expansion would place the rear ends of trucks about 6-8' inside, accommodating the longer modern truck lengths. Three south-facing bays would accommodate various wheeled equipment such as Marine 2, Utility 1, and the suicide bag trailer. This project is in included in the City of Poughkeepsie FY 2024-2028 CIP. As of February 7, 2024, information regarding a design team and the contractor selection has not been disclosed.
