Site work and paving for a road / highway in Port Angeles, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Improve safety and freight mobility by completion of the US101/SR117 (Truck Route) interchange to allow full movements for freight to travel to and from Port Angeles Harbor to locations east of Port Angeles. The current interchange limits movement from the Port of Port Angeles to locations to the west. The project will add new ramps and channelization to accommodate southbound SR 117 (Truck Route) to eastbound US 101 moves without conflicts. It will also provide some improved channelization for westbound US 101 to northbound SR 117. Construction is dependent upon receiving a grant. As of May 8, 2025, this project is still in the conceptual phase. A timeline for design and construction has not yet been established. This project is included in the City of Port Angeles' FY 2024 - 2029 CIP. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
