Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Escondido, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

**As of March 16,2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Provide all labor, materials, and equipment to construct the Work as indicated in the Contract Documents and generally described as follows: Demolition of 3 existing large diameter air valve assemblies in subgrade vaults at 3 different locations; Remove associated piping as shown; replace with three (3) above grade air valve assemblies with concrete pad and enclosures, gate valves; replace asphalt and Portland cement concrete pavement; and restoration of the site and private improvements. Work includes surveying and construction staking; excavation; installation of below-grade CML&C steel pipe fittings; valves; thrust blocks and/or thrust restraint fittings; combination air valve assemblies; pipeline hydrostatic testing, disinfection, and connections to existing pipelines; backfill and compaction; asphalt concrete and Portland cement concrete paving removal, trench paving, cold milling and overlay; restoration of the site and existing improvements damaged during construction; and procurement of permits by the Contractor and coordination with agencies having jurisdiction over the Work including, but not limited to, the Rincon del Diablo Municipal Water District, City of Escondido, and the County of San Diego. SITE OF WORK: The site of the work is the unincorporated San Diego County at the following three (3) locations: o 800 W Lincoln Ave o 400 Sheridan Avenue o 870 Sheridan Avenue The Engineers Opinion of Probable Cost is hereby considered to be $393,000. The Contract Time is hereby established as 90 calendar days. The fixed liquidated damages amount is hereby established as $1,500.00 for each calendar day of unauthorized delay in completion of the Work. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Board of Directors of the District, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to Rincon del Diablo Municipal Water District as bid security. The bid security shall be provided as a guarantee that within ten(10) working days after the District provides the successful bidder the Notice of Award, the successful Bidder will enter into a contract and provide the necessary bonds and certificates of insurance. The bid security will be declared forfeited if the successful Bidder fails to comply within said time. No interest will be paid on funds deposited with District District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
