The intent of this Tender call is to obtain an offer to perform Work to complete the Lunenburg Academy Drain-Tile Foundation Repair Project located as indicated in Contract Documents under Stipulated Price Contract, in accordance with Contract Documents. The Work to be completed under this Contract includes (but is not limited to) the following: .1 Excavation and stockpiling of sandy silt material as shown to be reused as backfill. Unsuitable material, if encountered, to be removed offsite. Brick pavers may be reused if suitable. .2 Inspection and repair of damaged existing drain tile and replacement of all solid drain tile pipe with perforated drain tile pipe around the perimeter of the Lunenburg Academy foundation as indicated on the drawings. .3 Work pertaining to downspout inspection and testing as shown in the project documents. Repair work identified to be completed on a time and material basis via change order. Contractor to include allowance in Budget for the performance of this work. .4 Repairing of the existing masonry stone foundation wall with appropriate mortar for heritage stone as directed by the Engineer's representative. Work is to be completed with no more than 5 metres of stone masonry wall exposed at a time to preserve wall integrity. .5 Apply waterproofing, insulation, and fibreboard around the perimeter of the Lunenburg Academy foundation as indicated on the drawings. .6 Repairing of the existing exposed brick foundation wall: including but not limited to: removal of paint with low-pressure water, peeling strips, or chemical paint strippers as determined by the Contractor and consultant based on type of paint, repointing of open and cracked joints with lime mortar mix, replacement of damaged brick units, removal and filling of staging support plugs with lime mortar mix, repairing and repointing of open joints at the stone bands with lime mortar mix, and all else required to complete the work as indicated on the drawings. .7 Reinstate any disrupted asphalt, brick pavers, walkways, stairs, and landings to original or better state.
