As of March 16 the project was awarded to CS Beatty for $$2,733,996.50. For: Homewood High School South Parking Lot Expansion The general scope of the work includes, but is not limited to, the construction of approximately 86 new surface parking spaces and modification to approximately 95 existing surface parking spaces including earthwork, asphalt paving, curbing, storm drainage, stormwater detention, erosion control, landscaping, irrigation, site lighting and associated utilities. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Homewood Board of Education in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the Office of LBYD Engineers. General Contractor Bidders may obtain the scope of work and specifications in electronic format only from the Engineer upon request. Addenda and other bidding information will be issued only to holders of the Bid Documents distributed by the Engineer. Only general contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to prequalification procedures and criteria established by the Owner will be eligible to bid for the Project. Written prequalification procedures and criteria are available for review at the office of LBYD Engineers and may be obtained in electronic format the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
