The scope of work to be performed under this contract is generally described as saw cutting and removal of asphalt paving and concrete, and construction of concrete curb and flatwork for the City temporary animal shelter facilities located at the City Corporation Yard and Police Station. BACKGROUND The City of Lathrop is located in the San Joaquin Valley, 70 miles east of San Francisco, CA and has an approximate population of 30,000 people. The work will provide concrete slabs and a mow strip for the placement of structures and exterior facilities for the City's temporary animal shelter. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work to be performed under this contract is generally described as, but not necessarily limited to sawcutting and removal of asphalt paving and concrete, and construction of concrete curb and flatwork. All project materials shall be supplied by the Contractor, and the Work shall be performed in accordance with the Standard Specifications and the Construction Documents as defined in the General Conditions. The Work shall be complete, and all work, materials, and services not expressly shown or called for in the Construction Documents which may be necessary for the complete and proper construction of the Work in good faith shall be performed, furnished, and installed by the Contractor as though originally specified or shown in said Construction Documents, at no increase in cost to the City. SITE OF WORK Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, and shall not rely solely on the work description.
