Exterior Envelope Repairs at Multiple Framingham Schools (Juniper Hill, Harmony Grove Elementary, Cameron Middle) PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. In general, the Contractor and Filed Sub-Contractors shall supply all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, tools and appliances necessary for the proper completion of the work in their respective Section(s), as required in the Specifications, in accordance with good construction practice, and as required by the materials manufacturer, as amended. B. Supply all necessary chutes, disposal facilities, transportation and labor necessary to dispose of all demolished materials, dirt, and debris off-site in a legal dumping area. Each Contractor or Sub-Contractor shall obtain all permits necessary to transport and dispose of all materials, rubbish and debris affected by their scopeof work. C. Supply all shoring and protection necessary to protect the building areas, building systems and landscape areas. D. Coordinate work with the Owner and their designated representative at the individual school buildings. E. Coordinate the work with the Base Bid and Alternate Scopes of Work as indicated on the Contract Drawings. F. Provide temporary polyethylene sheeting at adjacent building entrances and penetrations to contain potential dust migration to the usable space below, as required based on the activities being performed. G. Clean and restore all areas affected by the work. H. Perform all other miscellaneous work as required to complete the project in its entirety. I. At the Juniper Hill Elementary School (Juniper Hill): 1. Perform miscellaneous masonry repairs, repointing, and cleaning throughout the specific building elevations. 2. Remove and replace the designated masonry joint sealants and concrete sealant joints. 3. Remove and replace window perimeter sealants at the designated locations. 4. Install encapsulating sealant over the existing glazing sealants at the designated locations. Coordinate with Section 028200.01 - Asbestos Abatement - Juniper Hill. 5. Perform miscellaneous concrete repairs throughout the specific building elevations. 6. Install infill panel assemblies in front of the existing glazed-in panels within the curtain walls where noted on the Contract Drawings. J. At the Cameron Middle School (Cameron): 1. Perform miscellaneous masonry repairs, repointing, and cleaning throughout the specific building elevations. 2. Remove and replace the designated masonry joint sealants and concrete sealant joints. 3. Remove and replace window perimeter sealants at the designated locations. 4. Perform miscellaneous concrete repairs throughout the specific building elevations. 5. Remove and replace cracked glass at the designated locations. Remove and replace insulated glazing units noted to have condensation within the glazing unit. K. At the Harmony Grove Elementary School (Harmony Grove): 1. Perform miscellaneous masonry repairs, repointing, and cleaning throughout the specific building elevations. 2. Remove and replace the designated masonry joint sealants and concrete sealant joints. 3. Remove and replace window perimeter sealants at the designated locations. 4. Perform miscellaneous concrete repairs throughout the specific building elevations. 5. Install new sheet metal flashings at the locations indicated on the Contract Drawings. 6. Remove and replace cracked glass at the designated locations. Remove and replace insulated glazing units noted to have condensation within the glazing unit.
