The Town of Sylvan Lake (the "Town") is accepting proposals for the design and installation of a replacement playground at Palo Park. Palo Park is a neighbourhood park with the playground facilitating recreation play and socialization. The existing playground structure has been in use for many years; however, it has reached the end of it's lifecycle. Proponents are to design a new playground, maximum 2 designs can be submitted, that will continue to support recreation play and socialization in the local neighbourhood for children from 18 months to 12 years. The playground should have a nature theme (colours and play features), incorporate a variety of different play elements and be accessible. Proponents are responsible to ensure that proposals meet all applicable codes and regulations and are responsible for a playground inspection and certificate that design and construction meet CSA requirements. In addition, the following design parameter should also be reflected in the proposal(s). Max fall height of 2.5m Minimum 2 slides with differing heights Climbers Ground play elements such as steppingstones, rocks, logs, crawl tunnel, etc. Swing(s) Proponents should try to incorporate 1 into the design Bid values are undisclosed.
