As of March 15 the project was awarded to Dixie Restoration & Building Maintenance LLC for $55,699.20. The City of Georgetown is seeking a masonry contractor to repair a collapsed section of the historic cemetery wall facing South Broadway, located at 710 S. Broadway Street, Georgetown, KY. The contractor must demolish the existing wall, furnish all materials, and install the new wall with blocks matching the form, shape, color, and size of the current blocks. Approximately 480 square feet of wall has collapsed or is in disrepair and needs to be replaced. The City will also consider an alternate bid to replace additional sections of the Cemetery Wall, up to and including the full length of approximately 8,400 square feet. All measurements in this invitation to bid are approximate, and the bidder is required to field measure all wall sections prior to bidding to verify quantities. Payment to the contractor will be made per field measurements of square feet of masonry wall section installed. Work includes furnishing and installing, complete in place, the concrete masonry block wall and a new footer. Block must match existing block and be of like quality and form in every respect. Workmanship must be completed by a block mason experienced and familiar with this type of wall construction. All work must be in conformance with the latest edition of the International Building Code (IBC) standards for masonry construction. 1. Demolish existing wall section, furnish all materials, and install a new masonry wall to replace the section which has collapsed. 2. Approximately 480 square feet of wall section has collapsed. 3. Masonry block pattern, shape, color, size, and appearance must match the existing blocks in every way. 4. Masonry block shop drawings will need to be approved prior to installation. 5. All wall sections require a concrete footing per the detail below. 6. A 3' wide, 2' tall concrete footing is required under the new wall. 7.
