The City of Lexington, Missouri seeks bids from responsible and proven bidders to fill cracks as needed and micro surface two streets as referenced in Attachment 1. The City of Lexington, Missouri reserves the right to select the lowest and best bid as determined by the Transportation Board and the City Council. Bidders should include the following documents along with the bid price: 1. References from at-least three (3) cities for similar work as listed in this bid specification. References shall be from work performed within the past three years. 2. A list of any projects over the past three (3) years that were significantly delayed and resulted in liquidated damages. Please provide a written explanation. Contractor should complete this project no later than September 2023. Scope of Work: 1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, and equipment to perform the scope of work included in this bid specification. All work shall comply with ISSA A143 Guideline for Micro Surfacing (Attachment 2) and Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, Section 413.10. 2. Contractor will use local limestone aggregate meeting the type 2 gradation at 22 lbs. per square yard. 3. Bidders are encouraged to verify street measurements. 4. The Contractor shall clean up and properly dispose of any excess materials and debris resulting from the work. The cost of cleanup and disposal shall be included as part of the contractor's bid. 5. Contractor shall protect utilities, mailboxes, and private property from the application of micro surfacing materials. 6. Contractor is responsible forjob-site safety, including the safety of pedestrians and motorized traffic within the work zone. 7. Contractor is responsible for traffic control.
