Site work for a water / sewer project in Roselle, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project addresses issues in the 190-acre watershed that drains through the entrance to the Devlin Wastewater Treatment Plant to Springbrook Creek. The Devlin Wastewater Treatment Plant is a critical facility with only one access point. Unfortunately, several times a year storm events create waist deep water that village staff must wade through to get into the facility and other emergency equipment cannot enter or exit the facility when this flooding occurs. After reviewing the large drainage area that flows into this area through storm sewers and the ditch line along Rush Street, village staff identified potential concerns with the capacity of the storm sewer system as well as the lack of detention in the area. The study identified improvements and alternatives which will proceed to the design and permitting phases. This project is in included in the Village of Roselle FY 2023 - 2027 CIP. As of February 06, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
