Description of Work: All Work for the Project Shall Be Constructed in Accordance With the Drawings And Specifications Prepared by the Engineer. Bids Shall Be Submitted for Furnishing, Delivering, and Installing All Materials, Equipment, and Services, Including Labor for the Work, Which Generally Involves the Following Activities: Roadway Improvements, Construction of Drainage Structures and Pipes, and a Storm Pump Station. The Roadway Improvements Consist of Mill and Resurface 190 Ft of E. Live Oak St., and 56 Ft of Village Dr. The New Drainage Structures and Pipes Will Run On E. Live Oak St and Tie Into the New Storm Pump Station. This Pump Station Is Located on Parcel g07f011 and Will Tie Into an Existing 6" Storm Force Main. Coordination With the City of Wildwood Public Works Department Is Required to Use and Install Some Available Equipment In Store for the Pump Station. Contract Time: Construction Time to Achieve Substantial Completion Is 90 Consecutive Calendar Days From the Date of the Notice to Proceed, With an Additional 30 Consecutive Calendar Days to Achieve Final Completion. Total Construction Duration Is 120 Consecutive Calendar Days. Bonds and Insurance : Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of five percent (5%) of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond. Performance and Payment Bond: The Owner Will Require That the Contractor Furnish a Performance And Payment Bond in an Amount Equal to 100% of the Contract Price. All Payment and Performance Bonds Shall Be Secured From or Countersigned by an Agency or Surety Company Recognized in Good Standing and Authorized To Do Business in the State of Florida. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The undersigned agrees that this bid is based on substantially completing the project within ninety (90) calendar days and final completion within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. The Contractor further agrees to pay, as liquidated damages, the sum of five hundred ($500) dollars for each consecutive calendar day thereafter. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner will reject the Bid of any Bidder that Owner finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. If Bidder purports to add terms or conditions to its Bid, takes exception to any provision of the Bidding Documents, or attempts to alter the contents of the Contract Documents for purposes of the Bid, then the Owner will reject the Bid as nonresponsive; provided that Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work.
