DESCRIPTION OF WORK: All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Engineer. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment, and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: Rehabilitation of Jackson Street from Kilgore Street to West Clark Street via full depth reclamation. Utility improvements are also included within the project, including installation of approximately 3,500 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch PVC water main, reconnection of existing services and water meters, and abandonment of 3,500 LF of 2-inch water main. Moreover, lighting improvements are also included within this project that require coordination with Duke Energy CONTRACT TIME: Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 90 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion. Total construction duration is 120 consecutive calendar days. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND: The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price
