Site work and paving for a road / highway in Bethel, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
For Christian Hill Paving The Town of Bethel is paving .79 of a mile on Christian Hill Road. Reclamation must be completed by May 30, 2023 and fine grading and paving must be completed no later than August 30, 2023. An extension may be granted due to circumstance unforeseen or otherwise outside of the Contractor's control. The scope of the project is as follows: 1. Reclaim and rough grade .79 mile of Christian Hill Road. 2. Fine grade same area. 3. Pave 3" base layer of Type II bituminous concrete and an additional 2" wearing course of Type Ill bituminousconcrete for the overlay, to a width of approx. 22 feet or approx. 2,750 ton. (Asphalt price adjustment based on VTrans January 2023 posting.) 4. Aprons for any paved driveways are included in this bid, as are aprons to any other paved Town highways. 4' apron or as specified by Road Foreman Questions about this request for bids or requests for further information shall be emailedto betheltownfinance@comcast.net no later than Friday, February 24, 2023 at 1 pm. TheTown reserves the right to amend the project schedule as necessary and to add or subtract from this scope at its sole discretion. The chosen Contractor shall warranty materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of completion. The Contractor or their subcontractor shall complete all remedial/warranty work at no additional cost to the Town within 60 days of any such order to repair.
