SCOPE OF PROJECT The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: Cold milling approximately 7600 square yards of pavement; placing approximately 950 ton of HMA; placing pavement markings. Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration EXAMINATION OF SPECIFICATIONS Contract documents may be examined online or at the offices of: City of Douglas, 86 W. Center Street, Douglas, MI 49406 Prein&Newhof, 697 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland, MI 49424 And some local plan rooms. Drawings and specifications are available online or at the Grand Rapids office of Prein&Newhof after, February 7, 2023. Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible/available only to those Bidders who are active members of the Prein&Newhof Plan Room.. A $15 dollar charge will be added to all mailed drawings and/or specifications. Fees are payable by cash or check only and are not refunded. The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for by funds received from City of Douglas. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to City of Douglas in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price must accompany each bid. This surety must bind the bidder for a period of forty-five (45) days after the receipt of bids. The project shall be completed by June 30, 2023. Please note that Randolph Street shall be completed after school is out which is June 9, 2023. If a bidder cannot meet the proposed schedule, please indicated on your bid when the project can be completed and the City will take this into consideration.
