The Trade Packages included are: Trade Package 6a: General Trades Trade Package 26a: Electrical, Audiovisual, & Fire Alarm Work Trade Package 31a: Parking Lot Improvements. Questions submitted less than one week prior to the bid opening cannot be considered 2023 Capital Projects Bid Release #1 Contractors will be able to tour construction locations after the meeting. Bid security, in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cash in an amount equal to 10 percent of the base bid amount, shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Board of Education, Wauconda Community Unit School District 118. Superintendent of Business Services Administration Office 555 North Main Street Wauconda, IL 60084 Envelopes should be clearly marked, "Sealed Bid" and list the Trade Package Number The bids will be opened and read aloud. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the District. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all Contractors working on public works. Bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws. The successful bidder will be required to furnish insurance equal to or greater than the specified amounts and conditions. The cost of the insurance will be included in each bidder's proposal. Successful bidders will be required to furnish 100% Performance and Payment bonds to Wauconda CUSD 118 and include a Dual Obligee Rider adding IHC Construction Companies, LLC. The cost of the performance and payment bond will be included in each bidder's proposal.
