The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for construction of the G. Street Sewer Improvements project (existing sewer main replacement of 4,320 LF and new sewer main construction of 2,340 LF). The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities or irregularities, and accept any submittals if such action is determined to be in the best interest of the City. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for construction of the G. Street Sewer Improvements project. The project involves the replacement of approximately 4,320 LF of existing 8" sanitary sewer main in the sizes of 12" to 24" as well as construction of approximately 2,340 LF of new 6" to 15" sewer main and appurtenances. Work is within the City right of way along improved City streets and gravel-surfaced alleys, and on City easements over private property. Work in the alleys in particular is constrained by narrow work zone, numerous buried and overhead utilities and adjacent structures at the edge of the alley. Portions of the work will include requirement to bypass sanitary sewer flows around the sewer segments to be replaced. The work also includes removal and disconnecting or cutting sections of asbestos cement water mains to facilitate replacement with ductile iron water main.
