As of February 8, 2024, per owner, construction began September 18, 2023. A design team and general contractor have been identified. Construction Engineering (CE) Services Proposals for CE Services must include the resumes of key personnel, including all field staff and their direct supervisors. Key personnel are expected to meet and coordinate with 1DOT, as needed, to ensure compliance with their standards and deadlines. Local Presence 5% Project Overview Section 18-00166-00-BR This bridge rehabilitation project is located on County Highway 7 (FAS 366) approximately 4 miles south of US Route 24. Existing SN 102-3130 and 102-3131. Purpose: The existing structures were built in 1979 and have sufficiency ratings of 34 with existing superstructures in serious condition. For these reasons, replacement of the superstructure and repairs are critical for the safety and well-being of the residents of Woodford County. Project Components: The existing superstructures will be removed and replaced with PPC deck beams and miscellaneous repairs will be made to the substructures and channel. SN 102-3130 is approximately 145 ft in length and SN 102-3131 is approximately 160 ft in length. Both structures are 30 ft in width, with no skew. Roadwork will be included to tie in the approaches as well as the bridge wearing surface. Scour countermeasures and guardrail work will also be included in the project scope. Timetable: This project is scheduled to be on the June 16, 2023 letting. Expected problems: Close coordination with the traveling public will be required as this is the most efficient route for the traveling public. In addition, coordination with local farmers will be paramount during planting and/or harvest as it is a corridor used by farmers. Project Budget: This will be discussed in further detail with the selected firm at the time of contract negotiation, once final plans are available. 18-00166-00-BR Phase 3 RFP The Woodford County Board reserves the right to reject any and or all proposals, to waive technicalities and to accept the most responsible and responsive consultant to the needs and timetable of Woodford County, Illinois. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
