As of April 11, 2023, project was awarded to Jeffery Contracting, LLC, awarded amount is $929,003.20. BSB Department of Public Works has hired Water & Environmental Technologies to develop a design for road, sidewalk, and stormwater improvements on Excelsior Avenue from Caledonia Street to Waukesha Street. New concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk will be placed on both sides of the new constructed street. New stormwater infrastructure will be installed, and an existing walking trail relocated. The Request for Bid (RFB) documents may be examined or obtained at the office of Water and Environmental Technologies, 480 East Park Street, Butte, MT 59701 in accordance with Article 2.01 of Instructions to Bidders. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing by 5:00 P.M. local time on February 23, 2023. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda emailed to all parties in attendance at the pre-bid conference and will be posted to the Montana Builder's Exchange by 5:00 PM local time on February 24, 2023. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR'S subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to Butte-Silver Bow County, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided.
