Scott County is seeking quotes for a Slurry Level Project on 210th Street. The project is located on 210th Street from Maysville Road east to 130th Avenue (~2.2 miles). The slurry level shall be constructed within all 4 - wheel tracks only. The contractor shall not construct the slurry level over the existing pavement markings. This work shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, aggregate, labor and preparation necessary for the application of the CSS-1H Emulsion - Slurry Level. The applied material shall completely seal the pavement surface, within the 4 - wheel tracks, and provide a uniform textured surface, suitable for placement of Hot Mix Asphalt, micro-surfacing, fog seal or as a finished surface. Contractor shall use aggregate meeting the requirements for Gradation No. 22, Fine Slurry Mixture, of the Iowa DOT Aggregate Gradation Table. Prior to performing work, the Contractor shall verify with Scott County that the CSS-1H emulsion and proposed aggregate gradation are suitable. The work shall be completed as follows: thoroughly clean the pavement surface of any loose debris, vegetation, or other objectionable material (if water is used, cracks shall be allowed to dry thoroughly before slurry application); utilizing a distributor truck and box screed, apply a uniform application of slurry to the asphalt pavement wheel ruts/tracks. The Contractor shall have successfully completed at least (3) asphalt pavement preservation projects utilizing the slurry level process in wheel tracks. References shall be supplied upon request. The Contractor shall maintain traffic control through the construction area until the slurry has cured sufficiently to allow traffic. Traffic control shall be in accordance with Iowa Department of Transportation Standard Road Plan TC-213 or TC-214. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a certificate of insurance naming Scott County as an additional insured.
