Renovation of a municipal facility in Newark, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials and performing all the work necessary in accordance with these Specifications and Plans forming parts thereof. The work to be performed in general includes the following principal features: 1. Measure all windows with proposed window shades prior to ordering product. 2. Protect existing property from potential damage during the installation. 3. Provide temporary ladders or scaffolding to safely install product. 4. Furnish and install product, as outlined in these Contract Documents. 5. Secure shade brackets to inside window jambs, walls, below ceiling and above ceiling to existing backing. 6. Clean up and disposal of debris. The Contractor shall be responsible for performing the work necessary in a safe, neat and acceptable workmanlike manner, using only generally accepted methods of carrying out the work. In addition, all work shall be performed according to industry standards, according to the material manufacturers recommendations and to the satisfaction of the City. The City offers no guarantee of any amount of work to be performed under this ITB. The project consists generally of furnishing and installing Mecho brand, or approved equal, manual chain-operated roller shade systems with shadecloth, and accessories in styles, colors and openness as selected by the City for the Newark Civic Center which consists of the David W. Smith City Hall, Alan L. Nagy Library and Newark Police building, and other items of work necessary for a complete scheme of public improvements. The City of Newark invites sealed bids for furnishing and installation of Window Coverings for Newark civic center, Project 1353, City of Newark, Alameda County, California. The City will hold a pre-bid meeting and site visit at City of Newark, 1st Floor, Conference Rm. 1 (37101 Newark Blvd, David W. Smith City Hall, Newark, CA 94560) on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Attendance is mandatory.
