The Town of Seymour, Connecticut is seeking proposals for the Department of Public Works Fueling Facility Improvements Project located at 721 Derby Ave, Seymour, Connecticut. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to see that the bid is in the hands of the proper authority prior to the bid opening time. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid except as otherwise expressly provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the agreed contract price. Bidders are further advised that this project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements of Connecticut General Statutes Section 31-53. The Town of Seymour reserves the right to accept or reject any or all options, bids, or proposals, to waive any technicality in a bid or part thereof submitted, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Seymour. The project includes removing two aboveground storage tanks (AST), installation of one dual fuel AST, and replacing and upgrading the fuel dispensing equipment and all associated piping. The Town also is planning to install a canopy to protect the tanks, dispensers, and the fueling process from direct precipitation.
