As of May 26, 2023, Two bids were received; one from BH Electric LLC, in the amount of $33,143.40; the other from Asplundh Construction in the amount of $25,863.38. The low bid was accepted. Contractor Will Be Responsible for Pulling Six (6) 336mcm Acsr Phase Conductors, One (1) 336mcm Acsr Neutral Conductor, One (1) #2awg Acsr Ground/static Line Conductor and Making All Final Connections. All Materials Will Be Supplied by the City of Carmi. Upper 13.2kv Circuit (South Feeder): Approximately 950' in Length. The Static Line is to Be Mounted on Pole Top Pin Insulators and Will Be a #2awg Acsr Conductor. Three (3) 336mcm Acsr Phase Conductors Are to Be Mounted on Standoff Insulators and Will Deadend on Pole #1 and Pole #7. The Existing 13.2kv Circuit and Static Line Conductors Originating From the West Side of Fairgrounds Substation Will Be Moved From the Existing Corner Pole to Pole #1. Lower 4160kv Circuit (Feeder #1): Approximately 1000' in Length. Three (3) 336mcm Acsr Phase Conductors and One (1) 336mcm Acsr Neutral Conductor Will Be Pulled From the Bus Bar Within the Fairgrounds Substation to Pole #7. The Phase Conductors Will Pass Through a Pole Top Disconnect Switch Just Outside of the Sub and Dead End on Pole #1. The Neutral Conductor Will Be Attached to the Pole With the Disconnect Switch and Continue on to Pole #1. The Main Run of Approximately 950' Will Deadend on Pole #1 and Pole #7. Pole #6 Will Include Connecting a Fused Single-phase Circuit Running to the West and a Fused Single-phase Circuit Running to the East. Interested Contractors Must Meet the Following Insurance Requirements: o Workmen's Compensation and Employee's Liability - Workmen's Compensation of Not Less Than the Statutory Amount and Employer's Liability of Not Less Than $500,000 Per Person. o Auto Insurance - a Minimum Combined Single Limit of Not Less Than $500,000 for Injuries, Including Accidental Death, or Damages Caused by the Contractor's Vehicles on the Site. o Comprehensive Public Liability - Not Less Than $1,000,000 for Accidents or Injuries for Each Occurrence, and Not Less Than $2,000,000 in the Aggregate for the Policy Term. Illinois Prevailing Wage Will Apply in Accordance With the Prevailing Wage Act.
