The selected firm(s) shall provide technical support and project management services on an as-needed, project-by-project basis depending upon the City’s project needs and workload. Additionally, the firm selected to provide civil engineering services shall provide a civil engineer with California State registration at City Hall during normal business hours (Monday - Thursday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, excluding holidays) to coordinate all activities as listed in this RFP. The on-site engineer will also serve as the record keeper of engineering documents and coordinate capital activities with City staff. Preliminary Engineering Analysis and design of hydrologic/hydraulic projects, bridges, flood control structures, retaining wall/sound/security walls, water resources, sewer facilities, special structures, and all other routine engineering tasks associated with public works projects. Analysis and design of street, gutter, and sidewalk improvements, repairs, or reconstruction. Preparation of base maps, preliminary layouts, estimates of probable costs and identification of alternatives. Preparation of engineering details and calculations.
