This Invitation to Tender is an invitation by the Town of Collingwood to prospective bidders to submit bids for the provision of Wastewater Treatment Plant Screw Pump Replacement. Screw Pump Replacement: - Removal and disposal of concrete slab, two screw pumps and motors, concrete pads, frames, supports and access hatch; - Supply, installation, operation, and removal of a temporary pumping system; - Supply and installation of two submersible sludge pumps and associated piping and valves; - Supply and installation of miscellaneous and structural metals and steel, including vents, platforms, guard rails, ladders, lifting davit sockets, and beams; - Supply and placement of reinforced concrete slab segments and pipe supports; - Site work, including strip and stockpiling of topsoil and supply and placement of granular materials and asphalt for the construction of an access road; - Electrical modifications and instrumentation, including supply and installation of float switches, ultrasonic level sensor, new wiring, reuse of two existing VFDs, and modifications to MCC and PLC panels; and - Testing, commissioning, and trial operation of the work. Polymer System Upgrades: - Removal and disposal of a window, masonry wall, HVAC ducts and equipment, electrical conduits, and process piping; - Supply and installation of engineered skid-mounted polymer makedown system, including process piping modifications; - Supply and installation of miscellaneous and structural metals and steel, including door, hinged checker plate, platforms, guard rails, beams and columns; - Electrical modifications and instrumentation, including supply and installation of PLC control panel for polymer system, two laser level sensors, new wiring, and modifications to MCC and PLC panels; -Supply and installation of HVAC materials and equipment; - Supply and install compressed air piping and tubing for pneumatic valves; and - Testing, commissioning, and trial operation of the work. Estimated anticipated duration of work is eighteen (18) months.
